The Tantus Connoisseur Strap-on Harness Line: An Overview

The highly anticipated line of Tantus Connoisseur Harnesses has finally arrived! SheVibe just rolled out this new line of five premium leather harnesses, and man, do they look amazing! Their curves and patterns are unlike anything I’ve ever seen on a harness. Red spiderweb patterns? A “Nurse” harness? Oh, the roleplay possibilities! While I appreciate the simplicity of “traditional” solid black leather harnesses, I’m excited to see a fresh and fashionable update from a reputable company. Most impressive to me, though, is that three of these harnesses—the Nurse, Amazon, and EZ—will fit up to 60-inch hips. If you’ve ever taken a look at my Best Plus-Size Strap-ons Guide, you’ll notice that sleek and sexy leather harnesses are all but impossible to find in this size range. I applaud Tantus for adding three more sexy options to the plus-size harness market. The Connoisseur line certainly beats the competition in aesthetics.

As someone who has worn more strap-ons than I can count, I had to know more. After doing some research and exchanging a few emails with Tantus, here is my take on the new Connoisseur line.

Nurse Connoisseur Strap-On Harness

The Nurse Harness is a must-have for anyone into nurse roleplay and strap-ons. Make sure you pair it with a sexy nurse outfit to get the full effect.

A major concern I had about the Nurse, EZ, and Amazon harnesses (more on the other two later) is that they have a permanent O-ring that is 1½ inches in diameter. I mentioned to Jenna over at Tantus that I was concerned that dildos with a smaller diameter may not be stable with this setup. Jenna, however, put my concerns to rest with the following explanation and pictures:

“What you’ll want to watch is the size of the toy’s base, because you’ll want one that’s large enough that it won’t pull through the o-ring. I’d say any toy with a base of at least 2″ would work well. Both the Silk Medium & Silk Small would fall into this category.”

Even the tiny Silk Small looks like it’s in no danger of slipping out of position. Adjusting the harness so that it’s snug against the body should keep the dildo stable while thrusting. I am satisfied that this O-ring setup would meet most people’s needs, although people who want to use giant dildos or dildos with bulky bases should probably stick with the interchangeable O-ring on the Black Widow.

Black Widow Connoisseur Strap-On Harness

The Black Widow Harness is the other extremely memorable and distinctive harness of the bunch. I love the way the spiderweb in the back dips down just enough to accentuate the butt cheeks, but not far enough to cause discomfort. More important than aesthetics, though, is the interchangeable O-ring and the solid leather backing. This setup lets you equip a wider variety of dildo shapes and sizes than any other harness in the line. Do you like dildos that are monstrously huge or have giant balls? If so, then this is the Connoisseur harness that best suits your needs.

By the way, I’m dubbing Black Widow harness the “Superhero Harness” because the Black Widow name and look reminds me of a larger-than-life comic book character. Imagine the roleplay scenarios: Will you play the heroic mistress who punishes her foes, or the cruel villainess who tortures her prey?

Amazon Connoisseur Strap-On Harness

The wide Velcro belt on the Amazon Harness intrigues me. This strikes me as a comfortable harness that you can quickly throw on for spur-of-the-moment action. Velcro is very underrated and has an undeserved reputation of being “cheap.” Anyone who has ever worn a Velcro harness, though, will tell you that the Velcro will keep your harness snug and secure even if you run a marathon and do gymnastics in it. It’s more forgiving than buckles if you want a skintight grip, especially if you have an unusual body shape. It’s the main reason why I have faith that the permanent O-ring will work well on these harnesses: The easily adjustable Velcro will fit your body like a glove and keep that dildo base nice and snug against your body. Nevada Connoisseur Strap-On Harness

The Nevada Harness is my favorite of the Connossieur line primarily because of the aesthetics. I love the brown leather accents, and am disappointed that I don’t get to see this color more often in harnesses or fetish wear. I love the curvy cut in the front and the slim buckles. What a gorgeous harness!

The adjustable O-ring is a nice bonus, but I still think the Black Widow’s leather backing makes it a better fit for those who want to use unusual dildos.

EZ Connoisseur Harness

The EZ Harness is the Nurse Harness without the cosmetic features. What I wrote above about permanent O-rings and Velcro applies here as well. It might not be as flashy as the other harnesses, but its simplicity is still sexy. It’s also about $30 cheaper than everything else in the line except the Nurse harness, which is the same price. A good value if you’re looking for a quality harness without all the glitz.

Njoy Pure Plug Review: The Best Butt Plug I’ve Ever Used

The Njoy Pure Plug is the best butt plug I’ve ever used. As an anal play connoisseur, I’ve had a lot of toys in my ass over the years, so to declare the Pure Plug as an all-time favorite is high praise indeed. The Pure Plug’s expertly-designed shape and stainless steel material makes it easy to insert, comfortable enough to wear for hours, and secure enough so that it will stay put no matter how wild your movements. I have yet to find another plug that excels in all three of these qualities. Since the Pure Plug is one of the most frequently used toys in my toybox, I have quite a lot to say about it. This might not be an objective review, but it will certainly be detailed!

The Njoy Pure Plug comes in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. I’ve only ever used the Medium, so this review and its accompanying pictures are about the medium size only. The Medium has a 1¼ inch head, 2½ inch insertable length, and a weight of 7 ounces.

Why the Njoy Pure Plug is The Best Butt Plug I’ve Ever Used

My primary concern when choosing a butt plug is how easy it will be to insert and remove. If the plug is too big, too bulbous, and makes insertion feel more like a burden than a thrilling experience, then I won’t use it ever again. I’m lazy and don’t like having to put extra effort into getting a toy in my ass. So this, above all other reasons, is why I love the Pure Plug so much. Insertion and removal is quick and painless. The stainless steel material becomes very, very slick when you add lube to it, so it slips right in without requiring much pressure. I can easily and comfortably insert it without first warming up with a finger or smaller plug.

You may be wondering at this point, “If it’s so easy to slide in, then what’s to stop the plug from falling out?” Well, the experts over at Njoy have created such a perfectly designed head, curve, and handle that this plug remains very secure in your ass. You can do squats with this plug in and it won’t budge. Whether you walk around with it for hours or wear it while having vigorous sex, it’s not going to come out until you pull it out. And thankfully, pulling it out is just as easy as putting it in. All that’s required is a gentle, steady tug. No pain, uncomfortable resistance, or “popping” sensation that sometimes occurs with bulbous plugs.

Another benefit of the Pure Plug’s stainless steel material is that it provides a satisfying and pleasurable amount of weight. It’s not too heavy, so it doesn’t feel painful or burdensome even when you leave it in for a long time. It’s just enough weight to provide a pleasurable amount of fullness, and to remind you that there’s a toy in your ass that some naughty person put it in there. That’s a huge turn on for me. I don’t get that kind of physical or psychological thrill with lighter silicone toys. A heavy piece of steel in your ass is far harder to ignore or lose interest in than lightweight silicone.

The engineers over at Njoy also put a lot of thought into the Pure Plug’s handle. If ease of insertion is my first major concern about using a butt plug, then the design of the handle would be a close second. I have thrown away too many butt plugs because the base is too big, too sharp, or too unwieldy to be worn comfortably. The Pure Plug once again gets it just right. The handle is long enough to safely keep the toy from getting lost in your ass, but slim enough that it fits comfortably between the butt cheeks. No chafing, digging into the skin, or unnecessary spreading here. I find it easier to wear than thong underwear. My only complaint about the handle is that it is also made of stainless steel, and therefore gets very slick if you get lube on it. Maintaining a firm grip on the handle as you get into position to insert it can be difficult.

A final note about using stainless steel toys: They are very temperature sensitive. You know how doctor’s instruments are always freezing cold? You’ll run into the same issue with the Pure Plug. Now this is easily remedied by running it under hot water until it warms up, but for spur-of-the-moment fun, it can be annoying. Or perhaps titillating if you’re into temperature play.

A Butt Plug You Can Comfortably Wear For Hours

The comfortable handle, its satisfying weight, and the security in knowing that it’s not going come out until you want it out make the Pure Plug the best butt plug for long term use. I have worn this for hours with no pain, discomfort, or embarrassing mishaps involving the plug accidentally falling out. If what you’re looking for is a plug during sex, then it’s great for that as well. It won’t accidentally pop out no matter what crazy position you try nor will it cause pain during vaginal sex. The Pure Plug is simply a must-have for any anal play enthusiast.

Review: Tantus Little Flirt Butt Plug

The Tantus Little Flirt butt plug was the first anal toy I ever purchased and used. Its tiny size and friendly shape made it very appealing to someone like me who was curious about anal play, but not yet ready to try an average size butt plug. Over ten years later, I can wholeheartedly confirm that I made the right decision. The confidence and pleasure I gained from experimenting with this little toy encouraged me to move on to bigger toys, so that here I am now with an entire website of butt toy and pegging dildo reviews. Yes I do love my anal pleasure, and it all began with the Little Flirt.

So when I found out that Tantus redesigned and improved the Little Flirt, I just had to see for myself how they made an already awesome toy even better. Here is my experience.

The New Little Flirt — Still A Good Beginner Butt Plug

With an insertable length of 3¼ inches and a maximum diameter of 7/8 inch, the Little Flirt is slightly thicker and shorter than the middle finger. The head is about the size of the middle fingertip with the rest of the toy roughly doubling in size as you go down towards the base. This makes for a very easy and forgiving toy to insert. With a little bit of lube, it can slide right in with minimal discomfort or preparation. If you’ve already tried inserting a finger into the anus, then you won’t have difficulties taking the Little Flirt. It feels like a fingertip going in but provides even more pleasure and fullness as you reach the wider middle of the plug.

Another beginner friendly feature of the Little Flirt is that it’s made of medical grade silicone that is somewhat flexible. It’s firm enough to easily insert, but not tough enough to cause pain and discomfort. Like all Tantus products, the silicone is high-quality, phthalate-free, and American-made. It’s tasteless and odorless, and can be bleached and boiled for easy cleaning. In the ten-plus years I’ve owned my original Little Flirt, it has been dropped, stepped on, thrown carelessly into drawers, and occasionally lost, but it’s still in damn fine condition despite the utter abuse it has received. Tantus’ silicone is an incredibly durable material.

The most noticeable change Tantus made to the Little Flirt is that it redesigned its flared base. Flared bases are an important safety feature on anal toys because they prevent the toy from accidentally going too far into the ass and requiring a trip to the emergency room to retrieve it. The old Little Flirt’s base was a bit too wide, though, and combined with the insertable part’s small diameter, the plug had a tendency to fall out. If you read older reviews for this product, then you’ll see this complaint pop up rather frequently.

The new rectangular base, however, offers little improvement in this regard. This is not a butt plug that you can wear for hours as you walk around going about your daily business. It’s a fun plug to use solo or during foreplay. It’s not terribly reliable during sex, and while it may stay in place in certain positions, others will have it fall out without warning. If what you’re looking for is a plug that will comfortably stay in your ass for hours or during vigorous sex, then I recommend finding something that is rounder, larger, and with a different-shaped base (the Njoy Pure Plug is my recommendation for those uses). Consider the Little Flirt as a way to get used to the sensation of having a toy in your ass and not for heavy anal play.

Another drawback is that, like all silicone toys, the Little Flirt is a lint magnet. It will collect lint just from drying it with a towel or placing it on the bed. My standard advice when dealing with silicone toys is to rinse it off before use, dry the base, and place it upright until you’re ready to use it. Another alternative is to keep some toy wipes with your lube and condoms so that you can give the plug a quick wipe down before use.

The Benevolent Butt Plug

The Little Flirt‘s small size and forgiving shape make it the friendliest, least intimidating anal toy you can buy, and therefore the ideal butt plug for the curious and inexperienced. As an anal play newbie ten years ago, experimenting with the Little Flirt helped me get over my fears and awkwardness regarding anal pleasure and made me hungrier for more. I hope it has the same effect on you.
